Dog Vaccinations

Vaccines are not a ‘one size fits all’ protocol. At Weldrick Animal Hospital, we tailor vaccine needs based on your canine friend’s age, lifestyle, travel and boarding plans.

What types of vaccinations do you offer for adult dogs?

It’s important to discuss your pet’s vaccine needs with a veterinary professional. Our team is more than happy to answer any vaccine-related questions you may have. Some common diseases we have vaccines for are:

  • Rabies (core vaccination, required by Government)
  • DAPP (Canine Distemper and Parvovirus included) (core vaccination)
  • Bordetella
  • Lyme
  • Leptospirosis

Is there a schedule for how often a dog should be vaccinated?

It’s important to get puppies on a vaccine schedule. Vaccines need to be given at 6, 8, 12 and 16 weeks, and then again at 1 year. Then depending on your pet’s lifestyle, vaccine schedules are tailored accordingly.

Why is it important to vaccinate your dog?

Vaccines contribute to a happy, healthy life for your furry family member. Vaccines prompt your dog to create antibodies to help eliminate the disease-causing agents if/when they get exposed. Vaccines help protect and prevent the spread of harmful and even fatal diseases.

How much does it cost to vaccinate my dog?
